Job summary

EDF's Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater, Somerset, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of major contracts, coordinating with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and handover teams to ensure safety, on-time delivery and quality.

You will gain exposure to project controls, planning, governance and stakeholder engagement while developing across commercial, engineering and programme management disciplines on a nationally significant project.

Qualifications

• Degree or similar qualification in construction, engineering, steel design, manufacturing or related field preferred
• Project management and organisational skills, which have been gained through practical experience
• Member of APM or PMI or able to demonstrate an understanding of the APM project management Body of Knowledge principles

Responsibilities

• Supporting Project Managers in delivering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and handover activities across assigned contracts and work packages
• Coordinating activities and interfaces with engineering, commercial, procurement, construction, project controls and safety teams
• Maintaining project schedules, records, governance documentation and auditable decision logs
• Supporting project reporting, earned value management, budgeting and business case preparation activities
• Facilitating stakeholder communication, supplier engagement and collaborative project delivery across the programme

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the delivery of major contracts and work packages at Hinkley Point C, one of Europe's largest and most ambitious nuclear construction projects. Working alongside experienced Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and handover activities, helping ensure work is delivered safely, on time, to quality standards and within budget. In doing so, you'll support EDF's journey towards An Electric Britain.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, you'll be based at the #HPC Site in #Bridgwater. This is a site-based role, providing the opportunity to work closely with project delivery teams, contractors and stakeholders at the heart of one of the UK's most complex infrastructure programmes.
