Job summary

Connected Engineering is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the United Kingdom to support cross-functional teams on complex engineering projects. You will help coordinate activities, monitor milestones and assist in delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, develop documentation, manage risks, and support project reporting to senior leadership. The role offers a flexible start around core hours and exposure to high-profile Defence,

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

• Basic understanding of project management principles and tools.
• Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with PM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project plans and tracking milestones.
• Coordinate resources to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain clear communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support risk logs and mitigation actions; escalate when needed.
• Prepare progress reports and assist with updates to senior management.
• Monitor deliverables to meet specifications and standards.
• Support financial tracking and budget reviews.
• Contribute ideas to improve workflows and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and other departments.
