A leading construction consultancy based in Southampton is seeking an Assistant Project Manager. This role involves assisting in the delivery of projects ranging from £500k to £20m across various sectors including education and commercial. Qualifications

• 2 years plus experience in Project Management.
• Consultancy side experience preferred but contractor side will be considered.
• Willingness to progress in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of schemes from £500k - £20m.
• Project manage sites, including contract administration duties.
• Assist in establishing detailed client's brief and responsibilities of consultants.
• Interview and select contractors for tendering and appointing.
• Project manage schemes on sites with relevant duties as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Manager to join an award winning construction consultancy based in Southampton. They offer project management, cost management and building surveying services to a range of clients and can provide the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across multiple sectors including education, residential, health, commercial and industrial.

Role & responsibilities of Assistant Project Manager

• Work under the direction of project manager assisting on delivery of schemes from £500k – £20m
• Comfortable delivering smaller projects and tasks assigned without supervision
• Assist with establishing detailed Client’s brief and responsibilities of consultants and specialist
• Interview and select contractors for tendering or negotiation, evaluate tenders received and appoint contractor
• Project manage schemes on sites (including contracts administrator and Employers Agent duties as required)

Skills & Experience:

• 2 years plus experience in Project Management
• Consultancy side experience preferred but contractor side will be considered
• Driven, motivated attitude with willingness to progress
• Strong communication skills- both written and verbal
