Overview

We are recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to support the Strategic Programme Team with change projects and the delivery of Renewals & Logistics objectives. The role involves managing small projects, developing workstreams, coordinating resources, and delivering change in our business unit using our project framework from discovery to closure.

Responsibilities
  • Project management – Deliver small projects or workstreams within larger programmes, following governance frameworks to stay within scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Communication and collaboration – Influence, train, and engage stakeholders at all levels, develop training materials, and present information to different audiences.
  • Project logistics – Facilitate project-related tasks such as scheduling meetings, coordinating resources, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Interpreting data – Provide briefs to data teams, gather and analyse data, interpret results for project reporting, and create dashboards and tools.
  • Tracking and reporting – Support team members to identify project progress, update status reports, and identify potential issues or roadblocks.
  • Task delivery – Support team members to deliver tasks and activities, including reviewing tenders, providing induction/onboarding support, delivering communication, carrying out audits, and implementing change processes.
Qualifications
  • Experience in project support or management.
  • Project management qualifications or direct experience of delivering projects.
  • Organisation and facilitation of meetings, events, and workshops.
  • Experience of influencing, engaging and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrable curiosity and innovation.
  • Use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Commercial awareness (purchase, procurement, assessment).
