📍 UK (Office-based with some flexibility) | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

Clarke is seeking a driven and highly organised Assistant Project Manager to support the Vodafone Programme team in delivering design and post-build activities across telecom infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with telecoms experience, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will report to the Senior Project Manager and take ownership of monitoring, driving, and reporting on defined parts of the Vodafone programme. Initially, your will be on Design and Post-Build processes, including managing site design delivery plans, driving approvals, and ensuring timely handover of completed sites. You’ll liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, and client contacts to keep projects moving and meet agreed SLAs.

Location

This role is predominantly office-based at our Newbury location, where most of the Vodafone Programme team operates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Delivery: Own day-to-day monitoring and reporting on Design and Post-Build activities, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Design Management: Work with the Design Lead and Senior PM to deliver GA, DD, and dependencies through to client approval.
  • Post-Build Handover: Drive INC process and ensure timely completion of redlines and as-built drawings.
  • Client Engagement: Attend client calls, report on progress and blockers, and deliver against baseline plans for key milestones.
  • Supplier Coordination: Manage internal and external suppliers, organise calls, and liaise with Design and Operations teams.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate data across internal and client systems (Site Tracker, Sitelopedia, Remedy, Siterra).
  • Finance & Compliance: Ensure finance-impacting tasks are completed accurately and activities have proper commercial cover.
  • Governance: Ensure all tasks comply with Clarke and client guidance.
What We’re Looking For
  • Significant experience in mobile telecoms industry, including ownership of Design and Build activities.
  • Strong familiarity with telecoms design dependencies.
  • Advanced IT skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Experience managing and developing efficient processes.
Desirable
  • Valid Project Management qualification.
  • Familiarity with customer tools and systems (Sitetracker, Sitelopedia, Remedy, Siterra).
