This is an excellent opportunity to play a key part in a major national programme shaping the UK’s future energy supply, while developing your career in a technically complex and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support multi-disciplinary teams in developing and managing budgets and periodic cost reporting.
  • Maintain and monitor project schedules to align with contract and work package deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Quality teams to ensure Quality Management processes are captured, implemented, and compliant with project standards, including off-site quality requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Programme Execution Plan (PEP) and develop supporting strategies to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Support resource planning and allocation to meet project needs effectively.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration across all stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with PEP strategies.>
  • Work closely with Project Management, Commercial, and Procurement teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
  • Contribute to the safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of contract or package activities, meeting technical and business objectives.
  • Manage and report on contractor‑supplied Level 3 and 16‑week rolling schedules.
  • Ensure completion and delivery of all items listed in the List of Deliverables (LOD).
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with other project programmes to maintain a clear overview of progress and share best practices.
  • Ensure all contractual requirements are met, raising and managing non‑conformance notices as necessary.

  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and practical application of project management methodologies (APM Body of Knowledge or PRINCE2).
  • Proven experience delivering projects within technically complex and regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of engineering design, contract management, and field execution strategies.
  • Demonstrable experience in procurement and management of complex contracts, with a strong grasp of cost, schedule, and change control principles.
  • Proficient in Earned Value Management (EVM) and related reporting tools.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and advisors across large‑scale construction projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to support collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with experience in estimating, programming, scheduling, and risk management tools.
