A leading engineering consultancy in Aston-on-Trent is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project delivery within the Nuclear sector. You will assist in planning, executing, and delivering projects while ensuring quality standards and governance. The role offers opportunities for professional development and promotes a flexible work environment.
Assurance, Technology & Regulation (AT&R) team has a primary focus on three key areas: Independent Oversight & Assurance, Technology Development, and Regulatory Support. We have been directly involved in the Royal Navy's Nuclear Submarine Program for six decades and support the UK Civil Nuclear & Decommissioning industry.
Our Assistant Project Managers support Project Managers in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
This role will provide support to both the Nuclear Support and the Independent Advice & Assurance Directorate teams within AT&R. Regular attendance at the Bristol offices and ad‑hoc travel to client sites and other Amentum office locations will be required.
Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met. This means that you will need to have, or be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. The security clearance process may require non‑British nationals or dual nationals (i.e. those with British and another nationality) to be subject to additional evaluation, depending on nationalities held and the nature of the work to be carried out.
You will be able to perform these activities with guidance and supervision from the Project Manager.
