A leading defense contractor in Barrow-in-Furness seeks an Assistant Project Leader to oversee design tasks and manage a team of designers. The role requires experience in structural design, CAD toolsets, and effective stakeholder communication. The Primary Structures Integration Team is responsible for the design of major steel structures and associated manufacturing outputs.
As an Assistant Project Leader you will report and support your Project Leader in delivering Designer tasks / outputs in line with SSNA / NXGD programme demands such as 2D and 3D structure models in the integrated NX environment. You will also be responsible for the development and management of the structures team. Career progression is actively encouraged within the team and across the business.
