Job summary

Faith Technologies is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to work with the Preconstruction Manager across Design-Build, Design Assist, and Integrated projects. Your role will support estimating, engineering, and VDC activities to meet project goals.

The position requires a technical degree or higher, 15-20% travel, and a schedule that may extend beyond standard hours to ensure project success.

  • Work Schedule: 7 AM-5 PM, Monday-Friday; additional hours may be required to meet business needs.

  • Task Item Analysis (TIA) and Project Status Report (PSR) development and tracking.
  • Applies detailing and prefabrication strategies to design during preconstruction.
  • Leads and assists estimating team in budget development and cost alternatives.
  • Provides design, budgeting and model coordination support for Design-Build and Design Assist.
  • Maintains awareness of changes and communicates to the project team.
  • Supports field personnel during construction and translates design intent to site.
  • Supports RFP processes and project pursuits.
  • Coordinates energy code and egress lighting drawings for state submittals.

The Assistant Preconstruction Manager works closely with the Preconstruction Manager during all phases of Design-Build, Design Assist, or integrated projects. This position will support all areas of Preconstruction including, but not limited to, Estimating, Engineering, and Virtual Design and Construction, to meet internal and external goals established for each project.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Technical Associates or Bachelors degree

Experience: Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management.

Travel: 15-20%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Task Item Analysis (TIA) and Project Status Report (PSR) development, tracking and strategies that support internal and external goals of the project.
  • Applies detailing and prefabrication strategies to the design during the preconstruction process, translates those strategies to the project team at project start-up.
  • Leads, assists and works with estimating team members in the development of project budgets and cost alternatives.
  • Supports the Preconstruction Manager by developing and providing design, budgeting and model coordination support on Design-Build, Design Assist, and Integrated projects.
  • Keeps Preconstruction manager abreast to changes and modifications that are made during the process.
  • Provides support to field personal during the construction process, translates the design intent to the field, may work on site as needed.
  • Supports project team during project pursuits and Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
  • Work with Faith Designers to submit energy code and egress lighting drawings for state submittal.
  • Creates and documents value engineering solutions; which include identifying various design solutions and quantifying specific cost elements that are affected.
  • Assists and works with the assigned engineering team in the development of designs to meet project goals.
  • Supports the collection of schedule and production data from the field to support project control functions.
  • Supports MEP coordination with other trade contractors.
  • Supports document control and file structure management.
  • Support development of manufacturing opportunities with preconstruction and operations team to support project delivery.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
