Job description
The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Lanarkshire Trauma and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team for a permanent part‑time Band 4 Assistant Practitioner (Wednesday–Friday).

Based at University Hospital Wishaw, this role offers the chance to join a dynamic and supportive Allied Health Professional team delivering high‑quality care within a fast‑paced Trauma and Orthopaedic service.

In addition, there may be future potential for both a 1‑year fixed‑term contract and weekend working within the team.

This position is ideal for candidates looking to develop their clinical skills, contribute to high‑quality patient care, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

What we’ll need you to bring
  • Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • Ability to apply a range of technical and practical skills.
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro‑ra‑ta.
Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Physiotherapy Department within University Hospital Wishaw.
