The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Practitioner Health and Wellbeing to join our Primary Care team at a high‑profile corporate client site in Brighton. This is a rewarding role where you’ll provide health and wellbeing clinical care and health screening assessments to employees working closely with GPs, fellow nurses and the client’s internal health and wellbeing teams. This is a unique opportunity to deliver impactful care to a professional adult population coaching and supporting their health and wellbeing lifestyle choices in their fast‑paced high‑performing working environment.

Additionally you’ll be part of HCA UK’s wider Primary Care network benefiting from our clinical governance and support structures and wider HCA Hospital group for onward treatment and care if required.

What you’ll do:
  • This role focuses on delivering high‑quality health assessments, wellbeing evaluations and personalised lifestyle support directly onsite at one of our Corporate Clients. Under the direction of the team lead guide patients in understanding lifestyle choices that impact their long‑term health including nutrition, physical activity, sleep quality and stress management.
  • Carry out accurate and professional health checks as directed by the Health Screening Team Lead. This may include:
  • Observations: temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, weight and height, urine blood testing (near‑patient testing for cholesterol, blood glucose and HbA1c), BMI and waist‑to‑hip ratio measurements.
  • Foster a collaborative approach where the patient is actively involved in planning and maintaining their own wellbeing journey.
  • Under the direction of the team lead, guide patients in understanding lifestyle choices that impact their long‑term health including nutrition, physical activity, sleep quality and stress management.
  • Promote preventative healthcare and encourage ongoing monitoring where appropriate.
  • Educate patients on the meaning and implications of their health screening results in clear, accessible language.
What you’ll bring

NVQ level 4 or diploma‑level qualification in Health Science or a related healthcare discipline such as physiology.

Minimum Level 2 Safeguarding Course

Previous experience in a similar Corporate setting or Primary Care setting, Hospital or Health and Wellbeing clinic/services.

Knowledge and experience of anatomy and body physiology

Confident in delivering both assessments and lifestyle behaviour change. Awareness of remit and understanding of clinical assessment escalation boundaries.

Strong relationship building skills

Ability to coach and influence appropriately.
