Job description
Band 4 Assistant Practitioner

We are looking for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to work across University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) and the City of Coventry Health Centre. This role is based in outpatient therapy teams at the UHCW main hospital site and the City of Coventry Health Centre.

As a patient‑facing professional, you will provide high‑quality care under the supervision of a Registered Therapist. Your duties include planning and prioritising your workload, delivering efficient clinical services, providing support to less experienced staff, and ensuring clinical safety.

  • Assess, treat and discharge patients within scope of practice, including mobility, equipment and functional assessments, progression of treatments and leading planned group work.
  • Independently develop and provide exercise programmes for individual patients, with the guidance of a registered therapist where appropriate.
  • Use knowledge of physical, mental and behavioural health conditions to recognise deteriorations and promptly escalating concerns to a registered practitioner.

Expectations also include effective time management skills and a commitment to professional development. We provide training and educational opportunities to support your growth.

Apply as soon as possible. The position will close as soon as sufficient applications are received.
