Assistant Practice Manager Claremont Clinic

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Practice Manager to join our friendly and forward-thinking GP surgery. Are you organised, motivated, and experienced in healthcare management, and already working in this role? Previous experience in a healthcare or GP practice setting. Responsibilities
  • Support the Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of the surgery, ensuring smooth operations and the highest standard of care for our patients.
  • Manage clinical and non-clinical staff; oversee administrative systems, procedures, and patient services.
  • Assist with rotas, recruitment, training, and HR processes; write and update practice policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with patients, staff, and external healthcare professionals; contribute to compliance with CQC standards and practice policies.
  • Utilise ICT systems (EMIS, AgilioTeamNet, NHS ICT) with strong administrative skills; maintain confidentiality and demonstrate effective communication.
  • Be a proactive, flexible, and supportive team player.

Salary: £16-17 per hour, dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 10am-6pm inclusive of 30 mins unpaid lunch break

Flexibility: Some flexibility is required to accommodate additional or alternative hours to cover colleagues during annual/sickness leave.
