We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing property maintenance and construction contractor in the South East. The business delivers services across social housing, commercial, education, and heritage sectors, covering both reactive repairs and planned works up to £10m. Assistant Planner / Scheduler
with experience in the social housing or property maintenance sector.
Schedule and allocate work to operatives and subcontractors
Coordinate and book appointments with tenants and clients
Review works orders, schedules of rates and job specifications to determine requirements
Ensure labour, materials and access arrangements are in place ahead of job deployment
Monitor job progress and update scheduling systems to reflect changes and completions
Maintain accurate records of bookings, variations, and communication logs
Liaise with supervisors, contract managers, tenants and client representatives to support efficient delivery
Assist with reporting on work status, KPIs and performance targets
Experience in social housing or property maintenance scheduling is essential
Strong organisation, time management and workload prioritisation skills
Confident communicating with tenants, operatives and client teams
Ability to read and understand basic technical information (SoRs, specifications, job instructions)
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities
IT proficient; scheduling or job management software experience is desirable
Competitive salary : £26,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
