About the role

We're growing our internal creative studio - the award-winning B-Hive - home to a multi-skilled team of over 85 creatives across Nottingham and London. The studio delivers a wide range of work including design, video, campaigns, digital content, web pages and digital screens, supporting the Boots UK marketing team and wider business.

As part of this growth, we're looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to support the day-to-day running of the studio. You'll play a vital role in keeping projects on track, managing schedules and resource, coordinating freelancers, and ensuring smooth collaboration across creative and client teams.

This is an office-based role, with a base in either our Nottingham or London studios.

Key responsibilities

Working within the operations team, you'll help make sure everything runs efficiently. This includes:

  • Supporting the Operations Manager with the daily running of the studio, ensuring projects are scheduled, resourced and delivered as scheduled.
  • Managing and maintaining studio schedules and resource allocation across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Supporting with the coordination of freelance support, including sourcing and onboarding.
  • Working closely with Client Managers and Project Managers to balance workload and resolve capacity challenges.
  • Assisting with the implementation and improvement of studio processes to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Helping to monitor operational performance, supporting reporting and insights around resource, capacity and workflow.

It would be great if you also have
  • Have experience using project management tools (e.g. Workfront) and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Have previous experience in a creative studio, production or agency environment.
