Company Overview

We have just picked up a fantastic role for an Assistant Operations Manager to join an art gallery in the heart of London. This is a varied role that combines operations, front‑of‑house management, and event support on a 40:40:20 split respectively. This position would suit someone that thrives in an operations based role within a creative environment. You should be someone looking to progress down the Ops route long term. This is a fantastic role for a creative, motivated ops assistant looking to take on more responsibility and evolve with a lovely team.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing day‑to‑day gallery operations and ensuring smooth running of the space
  • Line‑managing and scheduling FOH staff, supporting with training and recruitment where needed
  • Managing suppliers, contractors, and building maintenance
  • Supporting with health & safety, compliance, and risk assessments
  • Coordinating logistics for private views, events, and special projects
  • Acting as a key point of contact for internal teams and external partners
Skills and Experience
  • Management experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years in an operations position
  • A genuine interest in operations and developing a career in this area
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to oversee both FOH and back‑of‑house responsibilities
