Job description

Serves as the property Manager on Duty, overseeing all property operations ensuring its high quality, as well as maintaining and exceeding standards during the overnight shift. The Assistant Night Manager will also:

  • Represent property management in resolving any guest or property related situation.
  • Personally assist in resolving any issues and completing tasks.
  • Provide services that meet and exceed guest expectations at every turn, ensuring ongoing repeat business and loyalty from our guests.
  • Improve service offering from all departments by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed; develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish their work.
  • Assist Front Office Manager and Night Manager in all areas to ensure a correct and smoothly‑operating department.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs whenever possible to enhance quality service and guest satisfaction.
  • Carry out departmental standards in accordance with the SOP Manual.
  • Ensure correct billing procedures are followed with minimum adjustments and strict attention is paid to the hotel’s credit policy; monitor all guest credit limits daily to ensure a valid payment method for each guest.
  • Complete all daily audit checks and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
  • Be aware of all emergency procedures and implement systems to minimise disruption to guests and operations.
Qualifications
  • Individual with strong interpersonal skills and good people‑management ability.
  • Innovative, proactive and reliable, able to work alone and within a team.
  • Sufficient experience in a similar position and strong Front Office / Managerial experience.
  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
  • 2‑year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
