Job summary

Clarks is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to support merchandising operations in Street, Somerset. The role focuses on competitor analysis, line sheet management, and showroom coordination to enable sales success.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure product information is accurate and aligned with marketing and planning. A passion for product and knowledge of visual merchandising will help drive consumer-focused strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• Experience in retail environment preferred.
• Passion for product and understanding of visual merchandising is essential.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Knowledge of consumer behaviours and trends is important.

Responsibilities

• Be a competitor expert with understanding of our competitor product, pricing and trading plans.
• Manage and update Line Sheets to distribute to the Sales team.
• Daily maintenance of Assortment tools.
• Present competitor findings to the Merchandising team.
• Develop cross-functional relationships and manage product info and communications for stores, marketing, planning and product teams.
• Support in-season trading performance for monthly meetings and capture lessons learned.
• Contribute to marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Coordinate sample requests for trade meetings, sales meetings and presentations.
• Set up Showrooms for account meetings.
• Assist Director of Merchandising with creation of key documents.
• Assist store planning on new arrivals and distribution strategy.

As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will be utilising your analytical mindset and to ensure the merchandising process is fully supported. If you’ve got a fast-paced and ambitious with a constantly evolving career in mind, merchandising takes some beating.

The role

• To be a competitor expert, having a clear understanding of our competitor product, pricing and trading plans.
