Job summary

Success Talent is excited to present an Assistant Merchandiser role based in Manchester. You will contribute to both branded and own-brand products, supporting the merchandising team and direct growth across stores and the website.

You will analyze weekly performance, help develop trading actions, manage stock forecasts, and collaborate with the Distribution Centre to optimise margins in a multichannel fashion retail environment.

Qualifications

• Driven and motivated with experience in fashion retail merchandising in multichannel environments.
• Strong ability to analyse sales, stock and profit versus budget and last year's figures.
• Interest in store, website and brand growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide a weekly summary of KPIs within areas of responsibility and across the business (sales, stock, profit vs budget/last year).
• Develop and implement weekly trading actions to optimise department sales and margins.
• Serve as the key contact for all analysis related to your areas of responsibility.
• Maintain weekly stock, sales and intake forecasts to drive sales, minimise risks, and communicate with the Distribution Centre for short-term workflow planning and long-term budgeting.
• Collaborate with the team to manage branch inventory levels, allocations and replenishment as needed.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stores regarding inventory availability queries.
• Analyse and summarise markdowns and promotional activities for your departments and the wider business.
• Ensure markdowns are reflected in the system according to the markdown calendar.
• Engage with internal teams to promote best practices and merchandising reporting.

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our client, a successful high street fashion retailer, within their merchandising team. Your contributions will have a direct impact on stores, the website, and overall business growth. You'll be involved in both branded and own-brand products, working in a team that actively supports personal development.
