Description

As Disturbia continues to grow, the need has arisen to hire an Assistant Merchandiser.

You will be a key part of the Merchandising team to ensure the right product is in the right place, at the right time.

You will help drive sales and profitability by analysing data to gain insights into product performance across the global business, managing stock levels, and optimising product availability.

Working closely with the Merchandising team, as well as Buying, Design, E-commerce and Marketing teams, you will assist in trading and planning decisions, to ensure the best possible customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales reporting on a daily and weekly basis, assisting with weekly trade analysis and identifying key opportunities and risks along with proposed actions. To include, but not limited to, suggestions for repeats, cancellations and markdowns with an ability to illustrate the implications on intake margin and profitability
  • Weekly analysis on returns, sizing, pricing
  • Weekly analysis on global brand performance by region, country and category, with particular focus on sales, stock and on order balance
  • Propose actions to improve slow performing stock, including but not limited to, markdowns and promotional activity
  • Actualisation of WSSIs and line card data on a regular basis and supporting senior merchandiser with forecasting
  • Working with buying team to maintain the critical path
  • Maintaining range plan and business roll ups and support in purchase order maintenance, including size ratios for New and Repeat orders
  • Updating the delivery schedule and forecasting business intake to ensure intake targets are achieved in line with forecasts for all global DC’s
  • Contribute to Monthly and Quarterly hindsight packs and feedback lessons learnt to influence business decisions both in season and for future planning
  • Producing insightful historical analysis to aid in business strategy and range planning
  • Strong cross functional presence to support business data needs
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Excellent excel skills and experience with reporting tools, line cards, WSSIs, trade reporting and forecasting and an ability to create action plans from analysis; Working knowledge of Power B.I. advantageous
  • Experience working within a fast paced, head office trading environment
  • An enthusiastic interest in fashion and a passion for data and numbers
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure, with an ability to prioritise workload and manage up;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, pro‑active problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills
  • At least 3 years previous experience in a fashion retail head office, with some experience at Assistant Merchandiser level preferred.
