Job summary

Five Guys Liverpool is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences and strong store results. You’ll lead shifts, coach teams, manage costs and ensure every burger and fry meets our standards.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of hospitality leadership, a passion for customer service, and the ability to drive profitability while maintaining Five Guys values and a safe, clean dining area for our guests.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR setting.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate teams to deliver great guest experiences.
• Experience with P&L, cost control and inventory management.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and coach restaurant teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Support the General Manager in driving profitability and sales opportunities.
• Oversee shift operations to ensure smooth service and compliance with food safety standards.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and maintain a positive Five Guys experience.

Experience: Ideally, you have at least 1-2 years of management experience in a similar role within a high‑volume hospitality or QSR environment. You know what it takes to run a busy shift and keep the energy high. Customer Satisfaction: You are obsessed with the guest experience and have the numbers to prove it. You have a track record of driving customer satisfaction scores, increasing engagement, and consistently delivering excellent Mystery Shopper results and positive reviews. Financial Responsibility: You have experience assisting with P&L management, controlling labour costs, and managing inventory/waste to hit profitability targets. Leadership Skills: You have a proven track record of leading, coaching, and motivating a team. You don't just manage; you develop people and identify future talent. Operational Excellence: You have a solid understanding of Food Safety standards, Health & Safety regulations, and maintaining 5-star hygiene ratings., If you are ambitious and want to grow - we can provide you with support and the right tools to build a career with us.
