Are you looking for a role that will give you a variety of activities. We’re looking for an assistant manager to support effective product and risk governance and decision making, produce insightful and high-quality analysis and delivery of effective risk management in alignment with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), and undertake customer facing operational task management adhering to tight timescales. This is a pivotal role supporting robust risk management across Business Transaction Banking

What you’ll be doing:
  • Subject matter expert to drive the CCO efforts within BTB.
  • Processing customer facing operational offboarding activity, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Using Data and Analytics to continually improve risk and control reporting, aligning to good Continuous Risk Management practices.
  • Organise and prepare documentation for committee level meetings, while also gathering and summarising data and information, to support standardised risk and control management in line with Group Resetting Risk framework.
  • Undertake effective Committee secretariat activity to maintain robust product and risk decision making.
  • Collaborate and work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver strategic outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Support and maintain effective Product Governance activity in line with Policy.
  • Proactively identify issues and then suggest and implement improvements to the control environment.

  • Experience of efficient management of committee meetings, including ability to produce a succinct and accurate written record of key conversations to support decision making of senior leaders.
  • A good understanding of Product management and governance principles.
  • Operational customer facing task management experience, working to strict timelines.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and maintain a network across the business, driving collaboration to deliver strategic deliverables.
  • A good understanding of the ERMF and Risk Open Pages; awareness of Group Resetting Risk approach.
  • Experience of collating data, creation of value-add visuals for presentation to senior leaders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, experience leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency.
  • Experience of data-led analysis, to support effective risk management practices.
  • A confident presenter to senior colleagues and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance conflicting demands whilst delivering to tight timescales.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges.
