Assistant Manager – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Acock's Green, West Midlands. This is a permanent full‑time position working a variety of shifts 5 days a week, usually including at least one weekend shift.
For full‑time positions we will generally require you to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits
  • Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week
  • Pay: £30,240 – £31,392 per annum on a 43‑hour contract
  • Holiday: 30 days per year (approximately 6 weeks)

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to our customers.
  • Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
  • Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager; ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are handled quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
  • Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
  • Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
