Job summary

Greene King’s Hungry Horse in Rochester is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and lead the team in delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll model the brand, drive service standards, and ensure safety and quality during busy shifts.

You’ll bring strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate staff, train juniors, and adapt to changing demands. A Personal Licence is beneficial and supported through the process by Greene King.

• Experience in leading teams and delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong communication and people skills to motivate staff.
• Capable of thinking on your feet in a busy pub environment.

• Bring our brand to life by leading the team in delivering amazing experiences for our customers.
• Act as a role model for the team and support with training and development.
• Be a champion of brand standards & ensure customer & team safety at all times.

What You'll Bring...

• You’ll be great with people, and as a result, have great communication and leadership skills making sure you get the best out of people.
• An ability to think on your feet and adapt to whatever challenges arise during a busy shift.
• A keen eye for every small detail and a desire to uphold high standards in all that you do.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
• As this role may involve covering the business in the General Manager’s absence, you’ll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You don’t need to have one when you apply. If you’re successful, Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
