Job summary

Screwfix is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Retail Branch Manager and keep customers at the heart of everything we do. You’ll help run store operations, guide customers to the right products, manage daily stock, and assist with performance reviews and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Store management – ensuring compliance with the brand’s operational procedures, and uphold to a high standard in all store areas.
• Help the customer find and assess the product suitable for their needs and wants.
• Daily stock management – organising stock, excess stock removal, maximising inventory for special events.
• Store performance, briefing/assessment and reporting.

WHAT’S IT LIKE TO BE AN ASSISTANT MANAGER AT SCREWFIX?

• Store standards – alongside the retail Branch Manager, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly, from front of house to the warehouse. Rolling up your sleeves to keep standards high
• Inspire your team – you’ll be hands on and lead by example, motivating your team to give a great customer experience
• Store management – budgets, Rota’s and Payroll, P&L analysis, managing stock and improving profits are all part of your role.
