Job summary

Divino Lounge, part of Loungers, is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to support the General Manager, lead the team, and ensure every guest leaves happy.

This role offers a 48-hour contract (40-hour option available), a competitive base salary with bonus and overtime, and real progression opportunities across our growing brand. You will benefit from in-house training and staff perks from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurants, bars, cafés or similar settings.
• Experience as Supervisor, Deputy or Assistant Manager.
• Ability to lead a team and manage shifts on busy days.

Responsibilities

• Lead a variety of shifts (opens/closes/weekends) and delegate tasks to the team.
• Coach team through regular feedback and maintain high service standards.
• Understand rotas, stock, labour, KPIs, and support the General Manager accordingly.
• Handle customer complaints with judgement and ensure allergen safety and quality.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
• Be a visible, welcoming host and uphold the Lounges reputation.

What You'll Do

• Lead a variety of shifts (opens/closes/weekends) — from pre-shift briefings and delegating to your team, always engaging and motivating the team throughout
• Coach your team through regular and honest feedback, creating a place people genuinely want to work
• Understand rotas, stock, labour, KPIs (NPS, sales, gross profit) — and know how to support your General Manager when things aren't where they should be
• Handle escalated customer complaints with confidence and good judgement, and maintain allergen and food safety standards across the team
• Support recruitment of new starters and help them feel set up to succeed from day one
• Be a visible, welcoming host on the floor and help build your Lounges reputation as the go-to spot in the local community
