A reputable service provider is seeking an Assistant Manager in Bromsgrove to support the manager in a residential short break service for children and young people. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills and experience with children with disabilities. This permanent role offers a salary between £33,600 to £38,200 plus additional benefits. We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Assistant Manager.With strong teamwork and communication skills to join our established residential short break service for children and young people with complex, physical and learning needs. This is more than a job, it’s a chance to be a positive energy in a child’s life.
You will work alongside the manager to help drive, plan and further develop the operation of the service. You willsupport the Manager in the day to day operations of the home toensure it runs smoothly and meets all safeguarding and regulatory standards. You will ensure the implementation of opportunities for young people to access different activities and that young people are comprehensively supported, whilst offering a high standard of care. You will work directly with children and young people building effective relationships and with their families and other professionals. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement tailored care plans.
The Assistant Manager will support the manager in administering, overseeing and monitoring the work and performance of all team members, including effective regular individual supervision. You will be accountable for the quality of the work of both individuals and the team.You will be responsible for identifying individual training and overall developmental requirements of the service.You will be committed to learning and professional development and be flexible to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins (additional payment).
