Qualifications

About The Role

Are you looking to grow your career in finance within a dynamic and supportive team? We are looking for two Assistant Management Accountants to join our Management Accounts team. These roles play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting strong financial control across the business.

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will contribute to the timely production of multi-entity management accounts and monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including high-volume bank reconciliations. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, including Financial Control and FP&A, to ensure accurate reporting and insightful analysis.

This role is based in our Northampton office with hybrid working arrangements of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, if required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare general ledger journals for prepayments and accruals
  • Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reconcile high volumes of bank transactions weekly, coordinating with the Financial Control team
  • Support the month-end close process, including variance analysis and adjustments
  • Assist in producing commentary on monthly actuals vs budget/forecast
  • Collaborate with FP&A to resolve month-end queries
  • Contribute to year-end statutory accounts and audit processes
  • Review and process employee and corporate credit card expenses
  • Prepare and format ad hoc reports and analysis as required
About You
  • Currently studying or part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, with a clear intention to fully qualify
  • Experience in high-volume transaction processing
  • Familiarity with month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Understanding of accruals and prepayments
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and diligent
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Property sector experience is a plus
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel
