A mutual housing association in Wales is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance team in delivering accurate financial records and management information. The role includes producing management accounts, budget variance reports, and monitoring financial KPIs. You will take pride in your work and will keep up to date with all legislative changes, accounting regulations changes and guidelines, suggested improvements and changes where needed. You will not only identify where service improvements can be made, you will also help shape and deliver them through your excellent working relationships with budget holders and colleagues. You will have experience of working with accounts and budget information and have a strong understanding of budgetary requirements.

Is this for you? As our Assistant Management Accountant, you'll support the team to deliver an excellent service. Your main focus will be on supporting the delivery of all financial records and management information in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate monitoring systems in all areas of financial control.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance team to deliver accurate financial records and management information. You will assist with producing management accounts and financial statements, prepare budget variance reports, and provide guidance to managers to help them manage resources effectively. You'll also produce rent and finance KPIs, monitor salary costs, reconcile control accounts, and support the yearly budget-setting process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, spotting trends, and collaborating with colleagues to provide the best possible service.
