Job summary

Cygnet Health Care is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Management Accounting Team at our Kings Hill office in Kent. The role is hybrid with two days in the office and three days at home.

You will support monthly site management accounts, prepare dashboard packs with variance analysis, and maintain financial records in accordance with standards. Strong Excel skills and AAT Level 2 are essential, with progression toward Level 3.

Qualifications

• Must have AAT Level 2 qualification and actively working toward Level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of key accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dashboard packs and conduct variance analysis to compare actual results to budgets and provide commentary to management.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Management Accountant to join our Management Accounting Team on a fulltime basis at our Kings Hill office in Kent (ME19 4AE).

This is a hybrid role, with two days per week based in the office and three days working from home.

Role Overview

In this role you will support the management accounting function, assisting with the preparation of monthly site management accounts, dashboard pack preparation with financial analysis, and assisting in updating financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of dashboard packs and conduct variance analysis to compare actual results to budgets, providing commentary to management and attend monthly calls with operational directors and hospital managers to discuss results.
• Preparation of site monthly management accounts.
• Maintain, update and reconcile financial records where applicable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare quarterly internal audit packs.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
• Collaborate with other departments such as payroll to aid the understanding of financial results, share information and build working relationships.

Role Requirements

• Minimum AAT L2 qualified & actively working towards Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Good understanding of key accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
