Job Description

At Teledyne Gas Measurement Instruments, we are on a lookout for an Assistant Management Accountant to be based at our Renfrew site. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their relevant qualifications to a new role and / or someone with demonstrable Accounts Assistant experience looking for their next challenge.

What you'll do:

Supporting four sites: Arras (France), Renfrew (Scotland), Heidelberg (Germany) and Norway you will;

• Actively participate in the company's monthly closing procedures, reporting to the Teledyne group, and the reconciliation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet accounts

• Support the management committee and various departments with management control analyses

• Monthly reporting to the group via Onestream, ensuring adherence to quality and deadline requirements for all four entities

• Reconcile intercompany positions

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for all entities on a monthly basis

• Participate in monthly accounting closings (reconcile sales, analyse provisions, invoices to be issued, accrued expenses, recording various transactions…)

• Calculate variable elements (bonuses, etc.)

• Management reporting for the executive committee

• Assist tax and legal filings (VAT…)

• Assist both internal and external audits

• General finance support (management of shared mail boxes / adhoc queries)

What we're looking for:

• Accounting training (NC / HNC or qualified by demonstrable relevant account/finance assistant experience)

• Analytical and summarizing skills

• Understanding of foreign environments (German, English, American standards (preferred but training can be provided)

• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise

• Good interpersonal skills

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities

• Fluency in English, additional languages are a bonus
