Job summary

A leading dairy processor in the UK is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to contribute to financial operations. This role involves managing production data, stock management, and supporting budget preparations. Candidates should have a financial qualification, advanced Excel skills, and experience in a Finance Team. Qualifications

  • Studying for or have completed a financial professional qualification.
  • Experience working in a Finance Team.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Effective communication with staff and management.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a financial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collate and record daily production information.
  • Produce weekly reconciliations for production.
  • Assist with stock management and integrity.
  • Collaborate with operational teams for data accuracy.
  • Produce weekly factory wastage reports.
  • Assist with capacity analysis and volume planning.
  • Manage the purchase order process.
  • Support in preparing the Prepack budget and forecasts.

Assistant Management Accountant

Nuneaton, CV10 7RG
Full Time, 6 months fixed‑term contract

How you will make contributions that matter
  • Production Data Recording: Collating and recording timely and accurate production information on a daily and weekly basis for the Prepack lines in the new Nuneaton factory.
  • Weekly Reconciliations: Producing accurate and timely weekly reconciliations for production through the new Prepack factory ensuring the site operates within its budgetary constraints.
  • Stock Management: Assisting with the management and integrity of stocks including Cheese WIP Finished Goods and packaging ensuring all stock is correctly transacted through the system.
  • Operational Collaboration: Creating a close working relationship with the Operational teams running the lines to ensure material data recorded is accurate.
  • Wastage Reporting: Producing accurate and timely weekly factory wastage reports for operational analysis and performance improvement.
  • Capacity & Volume Planning: Assisting with factory capacity analysis and volume planning as required.
  • Purchase Order Process: Managing the PO process for areas of the Prepack factory ensuring timely order raising and receipting to support accurate invoice processing (Overheads / Engineering Spares / Agency Labour).
  • Budget & Forecast Support: Assisting the Management Accountant in preparing elements of the Prepack budget and monthly forecasts.
You are best suited for the role if you
  • Are studying for or have completed a financial professional qualification (AAT / CIMA / ACCA).
  • Have experience working in a Finance Team.
  • Are highly skilled in Microsoft Excel to an advanced level (experience of AX Dynamics an advantage).
  • Are effective at liaising with all levels of staff and management.
  • Have experience working within tight deadlines in a financial environment.
  • Are willing to challenge and develop factory process improvements where necessary.
