We’re delighted to be partnering with a growing organisation based near Peasedown St John to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality finances across multiple sites. Working closely with the wider finance team, you’ll gain hands-on experience across management reporting, budgeting, and financial operations in a collaborative, purpose-led environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual budgets.
  • Assist with posting journals for accruals, prepayments, and other key transactions.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and help prepare audit schedules at year-end.
  • Analyse and report on significant budget variances, providing insight to management.
  • Support the completion of statutory returns and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments, providing finance support and advice.
  • Provide cover within the team as required to ensure continuity of service.
About You
  • AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with colleagues at all levels.
