Assistant Management Accountant

As our Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the finance team by helping prepare monthly management accounts, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing financial data. You will ensure accurate record‑keeping, contribute to financial reporting, and collaborate with departments to provide insights that aid in business decision‑making and cost control.

The Role at a Glance

Location: Elements Ring Road Lower Wortley Leeds, LS12 6AB

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £34,000

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Accruals, prepayments and loan account reconciliation
  • Perform variance analysis and assist in cost tracking.
  • Maintain financial records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Reconcile accounts and assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
  • Help monitor KPIs and provide insights to support decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data.
  • Support compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements.
What We're Looking For
  • Part‑qualified or studying towards AAT or further professional exams
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
