Job Description

NXTGEN have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a leading organisation within the energy sector on a 12-month contract. As Assistant Management Accountant you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function ensuring consistency and best practice across financial reporting and management accounting processes. This Assistant Management Accountant role is based full time on site in Thurso and sits in scope of IR35.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and delivering management and financial accounting reports analysing transactions within the balance sheet and P&L and ensuring accurate reconciliations across key accounts. Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders you’ll maintain financial structures within the ERP system support the administration of pension payments and contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key responsibilities
  • Preparing and issuing monthly reports invoices and supporting documentation
  • Managing and reconciling accounts ensuring accuracy across the balance sheet and profit & loss
  • Analysing transactions and taking corrective action where required
  • Maintaining financial structures within the ERP system (U4BW or similar)
  • Reviewing and updating working procedures
  • Managing internal databases and supporting wider finance initiatives
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in a finance or management accounts role
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • ERP system knowledge U4BW experience advantageous but not essential

Rate : 26 40 per hour (Umbrella)

Location : Thurso full time on site

Contract : 12 months In scope of IR35

Security Clearance : BPSS (Basic) required prior to start

Travel : Travel allowance available per day due to location
