Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for an Assistant Lab Technician on an industrial site in Hyde. The position is a temporary to permanent role with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour, working Monday to Thursday with potential night shifts.

The role involves operating and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient, safe production and high quality standards on a busy site. Training is provided for machinery operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a machine operator or industrial environment is desirable.
• Experience operating machinery is preferred; full training can be provided.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Monday to Thursday 06:15am - 18:30pm MUST be happy to work nights if needed

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring machinery safely and efficiently
• Setting up machinery and ensuring it is running correctly
• Making basic machine adjustments where required
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
• Working to production targets and deadlines
• Loading raw materials into machines and handling finished goods
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all health & safety procedures at all times
• Reporting any faults or issues with machinery promptly
• Supporting other areas of production when required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a machine operator or industrial environment is desirable
• Experience operating machinery is preferred (full training can be provided)
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Able to carry out manual handling tasks
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
