Job summary

Dunbia seeks a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join our Sawley operation in the UK. You will lead frontline cleaning efforts, uphold health and safety standards, and ensure production readiness each day. The role requires hands-on management in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and compliance.

You will train staff, liaise with Engineering on issues, and contribute to risk assessments and SOP reviews. A strong work ethic and reliable transport are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead cleaning operations on site, ensuring schedules are followed and standards met.
• Train and develop team members to maintain high hygiene and safety levels.
• Coordinate with Engineering on equipment issues affecting cleaning.
• Review site risk assessments and SOPs to ensure compliance.
• Promote health and safety awareness and campaign adherence onsite.
• Ensure production areas are cleaned to required standards to enable start of production.
• Monitor staffing and report to Night Cleaning Manager to keep operations smooth.

Reporting to both the Night Cleaning Manager and the Food Safety & Quality Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our facilities clean, safe, and ready for production each day. This is a hands‑on role in a busy environment where you’ll lead by example, ensuring cleaning schedules are followed and high standards are maintained. Dunbia Sawley

Responsibilities

• Expect to be on the front line, dedicating at least 50% of your shift to cleaning duties when the Hygiene Manager is on site.
• Training and Development of Team Members.
• Liaising with Engineering regarding any issues.
• Assist in the review of all site Risk Assessments and SOP’s.
• Promoting Health and Safety awareness and compliance campaigns onsite.
• Ensuring all production areas are cleaned to the required standard to enable production commencement.
• Ensuring all staff members are working efficiently and in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
• Ensuring accurate reporting to the Night Cleaning Manager to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Leading by example, especially in regard to health and safety and environmental issues.
• Previous food manufacturing industrial cleaning experience would be an advantage.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with MS Office Applications
• Previous experience managing or supervising a similar-sized team.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work with employees across all levels and departments.
• Own transport to work.
• IOSH, COSH and First Aid Training would be an advantage
