Assistant HR Business Partner

Location: Civic Campus, Euclid Street, SN1 2JG

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 5+ Month

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £27.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers and staff.
  • Help managers with employee issues like disciplinary actions and grievances.
  • Work with trade unions on individual and collective issues.
  • Screen job vacancies and find redeployment opportunities for employees.
  • Conduct job evaluations using benchmarking data.
  • Provide insights from people data to senior stakeholders.
  • Find solutions to HR-related strategic or legal problems.
  • Advise on staff appointments and ensure recruitment procedures are followed.
  • Contribute to HR policy development and projects.
  • Maintain professional development and network with other HR professionals.
  • Keep HR policies updated and answer queries on employment terms.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and external parties.
  • Participate in working groups and attend meetings as needed.
Person Specification
Must Have
  • CIPD qualification or working towards it with relevant experience.
  • Experience providing HR advice and guidance.
  • Experience working with senior managers on HR issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of employment law and case management.
  • Ability to interpret HR policies and provide advice.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and provide insights.
