The Housing Maintenance Unit is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and capable individual to the position of Assistant Housing Maintenance Officer on a part-time basis. This role will be based at Carnaby Depot and will support the delivery of housing maintenance services across the East Riding.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will assist in the development and monitoring of the Unit s repairs, maintenance, and void property programmes. The post holder will work closely with the Principal Housing Maintenance Officer and the wider team, liaising with contractors, tenants, and other service areas to ensure the effective delivery of services.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the coordination of maintenance activities and service processes.
  • Managing and analysing performance data to ensure compliance with legislative and organisational standards.
  • Preparing reports, drafting correspondence, and taking minutes at meetings.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and data management.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with contractors and tenants or customers.
  • Knowledge of the building industry (desirable but not essential).
  • Access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
