Travelodge is looking for a Designate Assistant Hotel Manager to lead and develop hotel teams across the Essex area, including Harwich, Southend-on-Sea and Harlow. This roaming role focuses on coaching, recruitment, induction and delivering a memorable guest experience aligned with brand standards.

You will manage rosters, safety compliance, and performance against KPIs while ensuring a welcoming, efficient operation that supports growth and customer satisfaction.

What’s it all about?

As a Designate Assistant Hotel Manager within the Essexarea at Travelodge, you would be responsible for leading, coaching and motivating the hotel teams. This is a Roaming position where you will be required to cover the following areas: Harwich, Southend-On-Sea, Harlow etc.

Your role would also include:

• Working with team members to create personal development plans for their career growth
• Recruiting motivated team members and making sure they have a warm and welcoming induction
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented to brand standard (if working in a Bar Cafe hotel)
• Maximising food and beverage sales by cross and upselling (if working in a Bar Cafe hotel)
• Reviewing customer feedback to produce targeted action plans for improvement as required
• Making sure rooms and public areas are cleaned using company best practice
• Reporting and overseeing any repairs or maintenance needed
• Additional responsibilities include rota management, banking and health & safety
• driving awareness and engagement for our Team Members to earn more through our incentive schemes
