Overview

An exciting opportunity has risen to join the team on an extremely well invested and well managed 900 cow dairy unit in Herefordshire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the herd manager in all aspects of cow care, health and welfare, daily record keeping, spotting and dealing with issues, fertility work and some milkings.
• Work alongside the herd manager and owners, taking responsibility for certain areas and your weekends on, and be a key part of the senior team.
• Be a point of contact for junior members of the team, setting a good example to follow.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in a similar role or progression towards herd management.
• Passionate about cows and profitable dairy farming with a proactive approach and excellent communication skills.
• AI and foot trimming certificates are highly desirable.
