Job summary

Diamond Search Recruitment Ltd is assisting a specialist school in Wales to recruit an Assistant Headteacher to join their SEND leadership team. You will work alongside the Headteacher and SLT to shape inclusive teaching and curriculum delivery for pupils aged 3–19 with complex needs.

The role focuses on developing individualised learning plans, coaching staff, and driving school improvement. A 37.5-hour, permanent contract with a salary of £45,000–£49,000 is offered, along with opportunities

• Strong teaching and leadership experience within SEND or specialist education.
• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD, autism or complex additional learning needs.
• Confidence developing and evaluating individualised learning programmes.
• Experience coaching staff and contributing to school improvement.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education.

Are you an experienced SEND education professional ready to take the next step in school leadership?

We're working with an established specialist education provider seeking a passionate and capable Assistant Headteachert to join a dedicated school supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with complex learning needs.

The school supports pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, physical and sensory impairments, and communication difficulties.

The role

Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you’ll:

• Support the day-to-day leadership and development of the school.
