Job summary

A specialist educational institution in Wales is seeking a dedicated Assistant Headteacher to contribute to leadership and the Local Authority inclusion agenda. The successful candidate will assist in managing a skilled team focused on enhancing outcomes for children and young people experiencing severe and complex learning difficulties. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status and have substantial leadership experience in similar educational contexts. This is a full-time role starting from Easter 2026.

Job description
Assistant Headteacher

To start from Easter 2026

Crownbridge School provides education and supports children and young people experiencing severe and complex learning difficulties aged 2-19 years.

We are seeking to appoint one Assistant Headteacher to assist the Headteacher in leading the school, making a significant contribution to the Local Authority inclusion agenda. You will have a clear vision and assist in leading a motivated and skilled team seeking to further improve outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Headteacher in leading the school, making a significant contribution to the Local Authority inclusion agenda.
  • Assist in leading a motivated and skilled team seeking to further improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Continue all the School’s activities throughout the year, including occasional non term-time.
Qualifications
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Extensive successful leadership experience within services which educate children and young people with severe complex learning difficulties.
