Teach Now are working in collaboration with a fantastic secondary school in the borough of Barnet to find an Assistant Head Teacher ready to take on a leadership role and make a positive impact on the educational journey of children at this school.

We are currently seeking an exceptional Assistant Head Teacher to join our all girls secondary school in the beautiful Mill Hillil area of London. With a new Head Teacher, whom we know from a previous school and can confidently vouch for as a lovely individual, this is an excellent chance to be part of a forward-thinking team and shape the future of education for our remarkable students.

As an Assistant Head Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting our school’s mission, vision, and educational objectives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head Teacher in developing and implementing strategic plans and policies to drive academic excellence and create a nurturing learning environment specifically tailored to girls.
  • Support and mentor our exceptional teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities to enhance their instructional practices.
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and deliver innovative, engaging, and girl‑centered curriculum, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the effective management of school resources, including budget allocation and staff deployment, to ensure the best possible learning experiences for our students.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community, promoting open lines of communication and collaboration.
  • Play an active role in promoting the school’s values, ethos, and safeguarding procedures, ensuring the well‑being and personal development of our students.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an outstanding teacher with a track record of achieving excellent academic results.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others, particularly girls.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of educational practices, policies, and procedures, with a specific understanding of the unique needs of girls in education.
