Job summary

Côte Brasserie in Newbury is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager and lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.

You will drive service standards, manage rotas and costs, mentor staff, and work closely with kitchen and bar teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Competitive hourly rate, bonus opportunities, meals on duty, and staff discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a high-volume restaurant or brasserie.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Passion for hospitality, food and wine.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure service standards reflect the quality and style of a classic French brasserie.
• Assist with training your team, developing them internally and managing performance.
• Help manage rotas, labour costs and operational efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and compliance.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
