Job summary

A leading entertainment venue in Cardiff is looking for an Assistant General Manager to enhance guest experiences through exceptional service and team leadership. The role includes managing a large team, maintaining safety and security, and driving business growth while creating a fun atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, eager to develop their team, and available to work flexible hours, including weekends. Competitive salary of £32,800 with bonus schemes and staff perks are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing a large team (up to 50 staff members).
  • Ability to manage P&L and meet financial targets.
  • Strong background in hospitality and service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the best experience for guests on every visit.
  • Lead training, coaching and developing a winning team.
  • Manage safety, security, and licensing aspects of the business.
  • Report KPI's weekly, monthly, and quarterly to the Area Operations Manager.

  • Having an input on delivering the quarterly business plans.
  • Leading by example through; Training, coaching and developing a winning team.
  • Managing a P&L to meet financial targets and expectations.
  • Managing the Safety, Security and licensing aspects of the business
  • Managing our guest experience platform to improve service and standards
  • Maintain a fun and engaging culture using our Brand Standards and Company Ethos
  • Monthly reviews with all your team members encouraging their growth and development.
  • Ensuring service standards and duty management are upheld throughout operating hours
  • Be an industry expert in all areas of duty management, 45hr working week across 5 shifts
  • It is expected that you will be available to work weekends and public holidays
  • Expected to have a reliable commute to work
  • Managing a large team of up to 50 staff members
  • Reporting KPI's weekly, monthly, and quarterly to the Area Operations Manager
  • Liaising with all departments of the Professionals At Play business including; marketing, sales, finance, operations and maintenance.
