Job description

The Assistant Front Office Manager is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk while on duty. Leading the team to ensure that the Reception operations run smoothly at all times and supporting Receptionists in their day-to-day tasks and working closely with Front Office Manager. On a broader scale, the Front Office Supervisor is to ensure that all of the hotel’s guests are greeted, assisted with a level of service, and welcomed in a genuine warm way at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of Front Office
  • Full flexibility in shift patterns 7 days a week. Early, late and night shifts included
  • Customer service, guest relations & creating positive guest experiences
  • Ensure a consistent, high level of customer service and manage guest requests and service recovery
  • Supervise accurate and efficient reception operations including check‑in/out procedures
  • Drive sales revenue and promote hotel services and facilities for up‑selling opportunities
  • Manage all bills & payments correctly
  • Supporting other team members and management
  • Ensure team members have updated knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area and other general Marriott product knowledge necessary to perform their duties
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire team members to meet and exceed standards
  • Co‑ordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check‑in and report any guest concerns
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis
  • Carry out Duty Manager shifts
