Job summary

Village Hotels Aberdeen is seeking an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to drive the shift across a busy Pub and Grill, and to lead multi‑outlet operations including meetings and events. You will champion local marketing, translate strategy into action on the floor, and act as a bridge between the Manager's plan and the team’s execution.

You will coach the team, recruit high performers, foster product knowledge across pub menus and banqueting, and ensure a culture of professionalism and guest

• Previous experience in high volume F&B is essential.

The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance

As our Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you are the operational powerhouse of the entire department. While the Pub and Grill is a massive part of your domain, you operate with total flexibility across all Food and Beverage areas, playing a huge role in our busy Meeting and Events spaces. You will step up as a Duty Manager, own the shift across multiple outlets, champion our local marketing, and act as the vital bridge between the Manager's strategy and the team's execution on the floor.

Your Shift: What You Will Actually Be Doing

As our Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you are the engine of the shift. We trust you to handle:

• The Operational Lead: Running the floor as a Duty Manager. You will own the shift across all F&B areas, seamlessly moving between a bustling Pub and Grill service and high volume Meeting and Events. You will lead high energy pre-shift briefings and translate commercial strategy into action.




• The Commercial Control: Protecting the bottom line. You will monitor wage costs using tools like TnA, keep stock replenished to exact par levels, safely authorise voids and refunds, and know exactly which products drive the highest Gross Profit to support our EBITDA targets.




• The Local Buzz: Acting as our social media champion and driving our outreach plan. You will create online noise to support our events and push the team to deliver the kind of service that secures a top 10 spot on TripAdvisor.




• The People Development: Coaching the team in real time. You will assist in recruiting high performers, foster a culture of serious product knowledge across both pub menus and event banqueting, and review performance to ensure internal development is a constant priority.
