Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. in Plymouth seeks an Assistant Finance Manager to join the finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role offers progression and exposure to transactional and management accounting, reporting to the Finance Manager and growing responsibilities.

You will develop within a supportive environment, with potential to work from home one day per week after probation as part of a hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

• Minimum AAT qualification and at least five years’ experience in a busy finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the purchase ledger function and ensuring supplier payments are managed efficiently.
• Managing employee expenses and ensuring accurate processing and reporting.
• Supporting month-end procedures, reconciliations and management reporting.
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
• Working closely with the Finance Manager to maintain strong financial controls and reporting processes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve existing finance procedures and systems.
• Providing support across the wider finance function as required.
