Assistant Finance Manager

Our client is gearing up for an exciting road ahead and we need a sharp, hands‑on Assistant Finance Manager to join their journey.

Your role on the team

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key part in steering the small but growing Finance department. You'll roll up your sleeves and get involved in everything from management reporting and payment runs to budgets, forecasts, and VAT prep. You'll also help guide our brilliant Finance Assistants and collaborate closely with senior leaders across the business.

No two days will be the same – one minute you'll be deep in Xero, the next you'll be brainstorming how to make our processes smoother, smarter, and faster.

We'd love you to have
  • A practical, commercial mindset (you know how to balance risk and reward).
  • Confidence to challenge "the way it's always been done" – and back it up with great reasoning.
  • Strong communication skills and a naturally collaborative approach.
  • Experience with Xero and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • The ability to stay cool under pressure and still meet those deadlines.
  • A positive, can‑do attitude that brings energy to the whole team.
